It is estimated that five gallons of water are wasted every time someone leaves the water running while brushing their teeth--

that's 3,650 gallons a year if you brush twice a day.
The objective of this project was to encourage people to turn off the tap
while brushing their teeth, in order to conserve water.
Our team's insight was that one's tendency to leave the tap running was more
of a bad-habit than an intentional decision.
We learned that it takes only 21 days to break a habit, and realized almost
instantly that a simple reminder could make a real difference.

Our solution was a simple, effective, inexpensive means of subtly reminding the user to turn off the tap.
